Today I read a quote, "Diversity is not about how we differ. Diversity is about embracing one another's uniqueness" and I realized how true it was. Today we live in a diverse world.

Today 236 countries in the world, with over 6.91 billion people , speaking 6912 languages (source: ethnologue) , from 21 different religions live on one globe.

Why go far, consider greatest democracy in the world, India , on 2% of the world's land lives 17.5% of the world's population with greatest variety in languages.

नमस्ते, Âº¡´£ Both the words translate into ‘hello’ in English.

1,210,193,422 people, 28 states and 7 union territories, 387 different languages, 8 main religions, one nation – India. With median age of 24.9 years, India is also one of the youngest Nations in the World.

All we need is the sensitivity towards this diverse culture and the sense to leverage it to make our country and the world---a better place.

End of an Era

On this sad day, I want to remember this great icon in the world of technology and branding as a guiding light who proved this to the world that "No door is ever shut for the willing". Through his perseverence, he kept bettering his own designs. He changed the definition of technology by building a brand that not only had the might to rule the world of technology but also the world of branding. Its my tribute to the legend. RIP Steve Jobs......

Passion- An Enigma!!

Hi to all my bloggy friends! Its good to be back, ofcourse I know out of sight is out of mind. You may not recall happie birdie now but I will make sure that I would make my presence felt.
In the past few months, a lot has changed in my life. Now I am an eight months old MBA apprentice.
Without blabbering, I would come to the topic, guys yesterday I along with my friend went to Siri Fort auditorium, Delhi. A few days back she told me about this concert " The Rhythm of Life "by Hum Ensemble. Many wouldn't know about this band of musicians because they play classical music (alas we are the Bryan Adams generation :p). Hum Ensemble consists of a group of musicians from across the globe. Lead by Sandeep Das- twice nominated for the grammy awards, team consists of beautiful Cristina Pato- Bagpiper from Spain, Rajesh Prasanna plays Flute, Ahsaan Ali from Kirana Gharana plays Guitar, Anil Chawla, youngest out of all plays keyboard, Wu Tong from China plays Sheng and two percussionists, Shane Shahanan and John Hadfield from USA.
Trust me guys this music was so pure and enticing that my eyes and mind routed me to a trance.
I realized one thing that music wasn't their profession, it was their passion and they backed their passion to make it their profession which not many of us do. We choose our profession and hope that someday some miracle would happen and our profession would turn to our passion.
Had Einstein crammed those history dates and events at school, he wouldn't have been what he is today.
Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Albert Einstein, all were school dropouts.They believed in themselves and their passions.Edison failed more than 1000 times in search of light but he backed his passion to enlighten the world.

Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor because "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." He went bankrupt several times before he built Disneyland. In fact, the proposed park was rejected by the city of Anaheim on the grounds that it would only attract riffraff. BUT he contradicted everyone's assumptions.

Steve Jobs- a college drop out created something that even PhD's in that domain couldn't.

And if you think its too late to follow your passion then atleast do things with passion or not at all. Whether we win or lose in this endeavour doesn't really matter, what really matters is whether we cared to try.

Expectations

Every thing in life has a lifecycle,it has to grow mature and die one day.
But still we expect people to respond the way we want, things to stay the way they are.

Expectations are a heavy burden to carry. The more we expect out of something or someone, the higher our chances of disappointment become.

Nobody likes disappointment. A way to avoid it is to shift our mentality from that of having expectations to one of looking for possibilities.

Looking for possibilities instead of having expectations allows us to adjust our goals and maintain a positive outlook on what the future holds.
It allows us to look at life in an entirely different way: If great things happen, it’s wonderful; but if our interactions and work don’t bring immediate rewards, everything is fine regardless because the possibility of reaping them down the road is still there.

Doesn’t this mentality make life much more enjoyable? Much less stressful?

Shore To Shore!

Its been almost 2 months since I am at TCS ,Noida and life here has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride.I have become the way, my parents always wanted me to be-Independent!Now my day starts at 6 o clock and surprisingly ,I get up all by myself without papa rolling his hands on my forehead.I get ready on time and even reach office on time because I know that there's noone here who will say ,"You are late again?Come I will drop you".

Now, I have become an aunty scrooge :P-a big penny pincher :).Even if I feel like having an ice-cream,I avoid it-just to save a 10 rupee note(Mumma always used to say that you will realise the value of money once you will start earning yourself.Now I realised what she actually wanted to say).
I never valued the fruits that were kept in the refrigerator by mumma but now I will do, once I will go back home .I never knew that an apple kept in the refrigerator could cost Rs 15/- and a glass of milk Rs 12/-(Itni mehngai...huhh!).
I even learnt to travel by local buses and metros.Now I know the routes of 392 and 543.And I can reach any place in South Delhi on my own.(Its like my second home:) ).
Life and People out here are different.People are running to make their ways out of the traffic jams to reach their offices on time.And then the heat.Earlier I used to laugh at girls who covered their full faces and looked like the talibans but now ,even I am a part of them(garmi hi itni hai...)
But nonetheless ,my experience with a metro has been quite good.
Hats off to Delhi!!
And pa ma ,I grew up finally (though a bit but I did)

A Soul Changing Shores!!

Its been a while since I last updated my bloggy dearest...around 3 months and a lot has changed since then.After college ,I was waiting for my TCS joining but TCS made the wait, a little ,too long.So I decided to take CAT.In the meantime ,I joined a web designing company at my hometown.That company gave wings to my imagination.I wasnt given any payslip but what I learnt there, values much more than theses paper notes.I worked on things that I always wanted to like Web template designing ,creating animations,web advertisements etc .It was something that gave me happiness.And my happiness touched the emperium ,whenever my work got an applause.Here ,I have uploaded the glimpse of my toil,for which I burnt the midnight oil.

And then ,in the third week of februrary ,I got my CAT results.I had scored a decent 94 percentile.The result didnt bother me much, as I was enjoying my stint as a web designer but then came a shocker -my TCS joining.I loved my work but realised that ,payslips do have some value. It was time for me to move out of my hometown,to start a new life,a life -all mine!!

Now ,I am at TCS ,Noida for the past one and a half month.

Somebody please wake them up!!!

Just a few minutes back,I was surfing the news channels and there was just one news all over.I am feeling pathetic right now.

What country are we living in where RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH is a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT but noone can express their views and if we do...a political party creates a big uprore.

What country are we living in where just for the sake of a few votes ,political parties play with the emotions of the innocent people.

Yes here I am talking of POLITICAL PARTIES like SHIV SENA and MNS.From where I can see,I can clearly visualize why shiv sena is creating such a big issue over Mumbai,over SRK OR over Australians playing in the IPL.

Its simply because last year Udhav thackrey's cousin earned more votes than him because of his so called "fight for the Marathi Manoos policy".

No I am not saying the issue they are fighting for is not justified..It is justified..The People of Maharashtra should get preference in the state Government jobs but this is just not the right way to approach a problem..Here we are not luking at the interest of our Nation but are luking at the interest of our parties' votebank.

Going This way ,I dont think we will be able to fight poverty,militancy,unemployment or any other issue...As a citizen of India ,I feel ashamed of my country's political system and the political parties.

While searing for an answer to the question that :how is a human being formed?",I got the following answer.

This is what I got ,a zygote that is that came

into existence after the mitosis and meiosis of cells

Well wait wait...I am not going to discuss biology

 here but I need an answer to my simple question

that if humans are made up of cells then where from

 this religion came into existence.

A little child doesnt know anything at all,all the lessons

 of life he gets are from his/her parents or from the society.

Then is it not possible that the lessons that we got were wrong...

I dont know about you but I feel that there is a possibilty

of this to happen.Then if a few wrong people divided us on the

 basis of caste ,creed,religion,language then can we not correct this mess.

Yes we can...I lately heard of an example where two people

 fell in love,the guy was a muslim and the girl was a hindu.

They both got married and were blessed with a baby.

And when the authorities asked them to fill the column of religion

 in the baby's birth certificate they simply refused saying that

 they dont want their child to be bound by a single faith.

It was an hour of revelation for me....I think this society

will actually be a good place if we consider each other

as humans and nothing else.

And to be true ,that is what we are.......Then.........

Lets us all stay united

And live our lives happily

Let us concentrate on the constructive things

And Let us work together, for the mankind

How many of us know the religion of Albert Einstein or Isaac Newton

All that we know is, they were great minds who worked for the MANKIND

Think what may have happened

Had they only worked for a particular religion.

HAPPINESS REVEALED!!

In this short span of life, I have always believed in giving more often.Yes the world today is preoccupied and no one has time . The hearts have grown selfish and the minds have grown competitive. But I still believe that we must give,whenever possible, not just because it will make the other person happy but because it will make us happier.

To begin with ,lets see what HAPPINESS actually is.We all love to be happy but where is this happiness sold? Had someone been selling it, in these markets , I am sure everyone would have been happy. But that is not the case. We all look for happiness in things that satiate us and that includes trivial things like shopping, hanging out with friends, getting good gifts and loads of money. But I have often found that the moment I enter my home after shopping loads of stuff I start thinking about the money I spent, and whether the dress suits to the tee or not. And hence this kind of happiness is momentary, hence it isn't happiness at all. It flies as soon as we satiate our desires.

Now you must be wondering why am I blabbering about happiness and what is true happiness if its not satiating your own self.

Well guys I am writing on this because today I found the real happiness. And you wont believe it came from the most ordinary of things.

I found my happiness in teaching students, in giving them just a small part of what I have learnt in these two decades of my life. Frankly speaking I started this for money but within a day itself my view changed. Now I am doing this just to enlighten the lives of a few, not for any monetary benefits. Believe me this inner satisfaction is divine. The jetlag of teaching students for 3-4 hours is infact the real comfort for me. And when a student solves a question on a topic taught by you, You actually feel you are in empyream.

Thats why I say to give unconditionally is divine because it holds the secret to the inner satisfaction and true happiness.

GUESS WHO'S MY LATEST CRUSH?

You And I in this beautiful world........

I used to hate dogs just because I had no reason to love them.They used to folow me with their tail wagging and toungue licking.I had somehow developed this phobia that any dog can bite me any day till I met someone.He used to love dogs and one day we had one big discussion on whether dogs are angels or devils;)...That day for the first time, I came close to the puppies sleeping near our class .Tender like a feather,innocent like a new born,they simply stole my heart.

And when they woke up,I ran I hurriedly stood up on a podium but kept watching them, playing.That was the first day when baby dogs stepped up, on the trail to my heart.

After a few months, when I went to a family friend's house I met a pug.Never had I seen such an innocent dog.It was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.I played with it,held it in my lap,patted it but theN ,we had to leave.

And WE SEPARATED THE DAY WE MET.

Since then I missed it day and night.

I yearn for it....so much that whenever I find some one having a pug.my pain exacerbates.

I NEED A PUG ANYHOW!:(

till then I ll keep on singing this song.

Every day I want to fly stay by my side......

Everyday I want to dream stay by my side.....

Every morning I wish I could just play...........

Wish the morning would just stay.....

"A BALLET OF LOVE AND RELATIONS"

Once upon a time there was a princess.She lived in an hunky dory world where all her desires,all her dreams got fulfilled...She had nothing to regret.The moment she asked for something,it was kept in her plate...She was boogieing in her fancy world....Slowly and steadily she became so clamorous that now she wanted just about anything in this world..

One day her eyes fell on a beautiful bird ,flying high and high,

Pompously it sat ,infront of the princess,singing in melody,flattering its colourful wings.

The princess looked perturbed.Doused with anger,she told her pawns,"Get that bird for me ,Anyhow!"

Ahha the princess was jealous,afterall she had everthing but no wings.

And there came her pawns,her knights with aim at the bird..

they tried everything but all went in vain.

The princess felt atrocious.

Day and night ,she kept thinking about the bird.

Her callous heart had just one aim.

She wanted that bird anyhow!

Now all she could use was the dagger of love to trap the bird.

The next day when the bird sat on her castle ,singing a melodious poem,

She sang for it too.

Slowly it became a routine and the bird was no longer afraid of the princess.

And The princess fell in love with the bird.

Now came the dillema,

She didnt want to hurt its feelings but at the same time she wanted it for lifetime.

It had become her priced possesion.

So finally a day came when over powered by her emotions,she caught the bird and kept it in a cage.She appologised to the bird and doused it in pearls and emeralds.

Everyday she sang for it and flaunted it infront of her friends......but the bird never sang after that.

Slowly its feathers started getting wethered.

It no longer looked beautiful...

days passed and its condition got worst....

the princess showered all her love on it,

she got the best treatment for it but all in vain.

And one day the bird died.

The princess was left in tears ..............

She took the bird out and with it fell a letter...She opened the letter and read,

"Ohhh lovely princess!

I know you loved me,

I loved you too

Thats why I sang for u....

But the day u concotted to mitigate against me,

And the day U fell a trap to cage me....

I died!

Yes I died that day itself,

No ,Not because I didnt trust your love,

I knew u wud love me all your life...

I knew u wud care for me day and night...

But that wud not be me....

My identity was my freedom,

That was my emperium,

Spreading my wings,I used to start my day...

Higher and higher ,I used to fly in may.

I had an identity,that used to reflect my soul,

and that applies to humans too....

Each one of your friends is unique,

and that is their identity....

Its a lesson of life,take it as my last wish,

Donot ever ask any of your friends to sacrifice their identity for your love,

They may do it happily today,but that will be their last day.

Beyond engineering....the journey continues!!!

So ,finally I am an Engineer....Lately my final semester result was declared and I scored 83.8 % marks.I got what I wanted ,a 76 % aggregate.Now I am an engineer with an honours degree.:) :)

It was a hedonic feeling...I was elated but comparing it with my previous results ,the happiness level was low..I wondered why?I had scored my engineering career best in the final sem but still ,I wasnt feeling that happy as I used to feel earlier.

May be It was because now these marks hold a very small value ...Now the goal had changed to creating a good future,a scintillating career.

There are many engineers out there....I am just a droplet added to this ocean of engineers.

Though I dont like compromising today's happiness for tomorrow's but this time I want to make it anyhow.

A few months back,when a friend of mine asked me…Can you define love for me?When can you say you are in love?

I smiled and closed my eyes,

All I could say was this………….

You feel like dancing even when there is no music on.

You feel like smiling even when noone has cracked a joke.

You can smell his fragrance in the air even when he is miles away.

Your eyes twinkle when they see him and

if he is not there infront of you,

They look for him.

When he holds your hand,you feel as if the whole world’s your stage

And you feel like a princess….his princess !!

If you are tensed or sad,you can easily manage that but if he is…. ,

Your whole world falls apart,

You feel like fighting the whole world,just to bring that smile back on his face.

Before meeting him,you pray only for yourself but after meeting him,

you beg for his smiles,his happiness,his success,

He simply steals your soul and comfortably resides there inside you,

your heart calls his name every second instead of lub-dub :)

Even if you are an introvert ,you feel like sharing everything with him,

Even if its something related to brushing your teeth :)

You feel like listening to him for hours,

And You wont be able to sleep at night without listening to his “hello”

When he is not around ,you crave for him,

You miss him badly,

You feel like curling yourself inside his arms,

You feel utmost protected inside his arms,

Even when you know, he is no superman.

I danced like a lummox,

people laughed at me,

I was a joker

I was made to laugh at.

I hid my face behind colours and smiles

people came

attracted to me.

I thought they loved me

How silly I was ,

a perfect joker

they came to suffice their ulterior motives,

and I was so naive

I was just a puppet for them,

When I danced to their tunes,

they smiled with me and

drenched me with love

And when I didn't ,

I was a mere toy for them

Worthless!!uselesss!!

I cried for I had felt bad,

I was torn into pieces but

I had to get up

I was a joker

and jokers dont have emotions,

they cant feel bad

they must forgive and forget their pains

and must perform the act with perfection,

the act of dancing to the tunes of its master

else the master will get upset

What if he never cared for my emotions,

I loved him.....

I was just a joker ,

The leitmotif of my show was predefined

I just had options

Act or get shunned!

My chicanery makes you laugh,

what more can I ask for,

I must live by the rules laid by my master

thats my life

the act must be performed to the tee

hiding all fears,

all tears,

the act of brightening the lives of people I love!

P.S I know the poem is distorted but I wanted to write what I felt.I wanted to break myself free from the gamut of emotions that had engulfed me.

Hey guys!!I wanted to write this post almost a month back,but it kind of slipped out of my mind.

It was one of my friends birthday and he gave us a "kaminey treet".So we went out and watched kaminey.The movie portrays two twins, one character is gud and honest and the other dark and dishonest..The Movie is all about how the gud is able to get his love back fighting out against the dishonest society...where everyone is dishonest including his brother,the police and the ministers...Now is it not the reality of this new world.Seriously it hurts me a lot when someone who is honest and nice is bullied by the so called dishonest and bad heroes of the society.Yaa in the todays world everything bad is considered cool and gud is looked down upon and laughed at.

Drunkards and smokers are the new trailbrazers.

Corruption!! yaa they say without money there is no honey...then what should a poor do.

Ethics and principles hold no value.The slogon is "Just get your work done ANYWAYS."

People have become so bereft of their emotions that it has become difficult for them to hold on to a single relation..BREAK UP is now as easy as breaking a mirror with a hammer.And without any travails they start a new relation the very next day.

All this is cryptic for me..It is just not sinking in.

And that man who is genuinely good and nice seems to me like an endangered specie who may give up anytime fighting against these KAMINEYS.

That person seems to me like a prey fighting hard against the python...I feel like protecting him against all dangers because if he will give up,honesty will give up,goodwill will give up.

So this poem is dedicated to that person who is good,who has started feeling that he is the only alien here in this world.

So here it goes.

There are times in life, when, you have to fight to prove yourself right,

Fight ,because you are actually right.

Donot give up.

There are times, When there are two ways to do a thing,

All may take the easier way but your conscience says go the other way,

Spreading my wings when I wanted to fly ,

I was told I couldn't,

I craved for it day and night

but I couldn't

I dreamt of it watching birds fly but

what I longed for

Hey guys!!This ones my first tag...I got too tags in a day ...Wopieeee.To be very frank I didnt know what does a TAG means.Then after a bit of search, I found out that You are given a theme and you have to write on that theme....I was tagged by jaunty and number and The theme is NUMBER.

My Numero uno is my Family.I am a homesick kind of person.I enjoy being with my family and friends(my extended family).For me they are the best.

I had a two wheeler-a blue coloured scouty but pa has sold it now.I feel so dependent without it.

I have three chocolates with me right now..and I love chocolates ,they are the real food for your brain and heart....I am relishing each byte of it and yaa I love mik chocolates like milkybaar..So If you plan to gift me a choco thn it should be a milkybaar-the premium baar.

Four years of college life..I miss ma college so much..those lecture halls,those sessionals,wo hamare cheating karna and pakde na jaana.Thanks to that good impression ;),bunking classes by jumping out of windows,breaking all sorts of rules,fighting hard against the red tapism and studying on the last night before the exams...hmmm I am gonna miss ma college days

FIVE

We were five girls in our Electronics And Communication stream,popularly known as chak de.Seriously we have rocked this college life.We have done so much boogieing in the class.Even the guys used to feel jealous of us because we were the real heroes of the class :).Today all of us are away and forlorn but We are still connected through spirits..Spirit that says Girls are no less than guys.We too can do anything in life.

SIX

Six reminds me of 6 sixes of yuvraj singh in the world cup against England...Little broad looked like a dwarf infront of our giant yuvi...Yes I am a big big cricket fan and Sourav Ganguly is ma fav player..and my first crush.I miss you dada..you were the real tiger.

SEVEN

Seven reminds me of sat sur of hindi music..I am a big time music maniac..Music makes me happy and rejuvinates my soul.I have a big collection of all time hits, thanks to my love.

EIGHT

Eight reminds me of the girl lakshmi who had eight legs and with Gods grace she is leading a normal life now...Also eight reminds me of my school days when even one minute after eight meant punishment...I never got one but i used to enjoy seeing ma batchmates running with their bags.That was the time when eight meant morning prayers and masti at school.

NINE

Nine is my favourite number...and numerologically my lucky number..Though I dont believe in all these things but I still like the number...I was also born on a date whose single digit sum is 9.

TEN

Ten used to be the time for me to sleep when the college was on but not anymore.Now I sleep at 3 or 4 in the morning..guess how life changed in just a few days.

Welcome to my art exhibition..This is an exhibition of a few original paintings.....We all have heard of sentational paintings like monalisa and hotshot painters like Pablo Picasso,MFHussian and many more.There have been people who take up painting as a professionand why not when a painting can fetch you a price as high as $ 53.9 million dollers.And there have been many enigmatic,cryptic,beautiful paintings.Ahh!!I used to wonder these painters are occult...and surely they are ,after all it takes imagination and ideas to create a magestic painting.

Recently I opened sotheby's website (For your information Sotheby's is the world's third oldest art auction house) and I saw a few great paintings.I realized that though I am not a great painter ,I am not bad either.With a proper marketing strategy, my paintings can earn millions too and I can become a parvenu ;)..heheeee

When asked about ourselves in an interview or in an introduction...the first line we say is ..I AM .....One’s name is one’s Identity. It is the sound that catches your ear when you are in a crowd – even though you might end up realizing that what you just heard merely “sounded like” your name but was actually not. A lot of people have been obsessed with names – their names or the “concept of name.”

In fact I came to know that there are people who read out your personality from your name...I failed to guess how?According to them:

“Every alphabet has a consistent mathematical order, which allows it to be measured. An analysis of the letters in your name will determine the qualites of your personality.Your name determines your every experience. It defines your personal strengths [sic] and weaknesses both mentally and physically. It interprets your whole nature. It shows your position in life and your measure of success or failure. When you are named your destiny is created.”

Now while I do believe that having a catchy or “good-sounding” name can have an impact. I have noticed that people with ‘uncommon’ names usually get noticed very quickly. For instance, a name like Writankar – the name itself commands attention in a group. I’m sure more often that not, people with uncommon AND hard-to-pronounce names would find themselves in a situation where they’d have to repeat their name to the listener and instantly this translates into the former occupying more of the latter’s mind-space! – No Wonder Ekta Kapoor spells out the names of her Soaps with 2 K’s, 3 G’s and what not! — Astrological reasons aside, it is about mind-space! — It is about the casual observer noticing weird spelling, perhaps! Who knows?

The effect is in my opinion temporary. It is your experiences, your interactions and your thoughts which ultimately mould your individuality. So what the “observer” finally concludes about you will depend on more than your name – Moreover, it will depend on factors that have nothing to do with it!

I often wonder how time flies so fast...it feels as if it was yesterday when I was in school but I have even completed my college.....Closing my eyes I was thinking about the times when I first entered my college ...I came with my mum and my friend....we were waiting for the inaugral lectures to start and there I met those people who were going to be my batchmates for four years.Things proceeded and lectures started.Professors started coming in one by one and delivered their lectures...and then came one lecturer with turban (I am sure GCETians might have guessed it).He was the HOD of maths department-popularly known as bhuppi .He came in and in his notorious baritone started asking a few maths problems...JUST IMAGINE...we people had been studying for 4 long months to get a coveted seat in a college and now when we felt that all that questioning is over..there stood one lecturer asking problems of mathematics on the very first day of college....huh!!....Finally those myraid lectures got over . The next day we came with high spirits and happy hearts to start our stint at GCET.

And there were our seniors in galore staring us with surreptitious looks...like a butcher stares its prey.We overlooked them and immediately went to our class.But they followed.We were asked to introduce ourselves and we did that happily,little did we knew that it was just a paradign...a gamut of such intros were about to follow.

Seniors came and came and came and eventually we were hounded by them. I still remember standing the whole day giviny my introduction....and when one of my seniors asked me...Wud you come 2 clg tomorrow? I vehemently said NO...

Now I realize that if I had given up then I wouldnt have been what I am today.

Folowing are my achievements of being a proud GCETian:

1) Today I am a proud hotshot Engineer for name.I hope nobody's listening, with no practical skills.

2)I have become so active that it takes 2hours for me to complete a half an hour job.I am sure many of you cant do this.

3)Ahh!!Gcet made me a virtuoso in time management. Now I start preparing for exams one day before the exam.

4)I have become so punctual that I am never on time.After all ,I am a Gcetian I had to carry forward the legacy.

5)Ohh !I forgot something...Gcet also taught me multitasking ...Can u imagine I can now listen to lectures while sleeping in the class.Damn its so tough.

6)I also learnt how to stay fit...simple..walk your way to college under burning sun even if the distance is 5kms, with noone on the road.

7)It taught me how to bunk classes in the name of strikes.

8)Thats not all it taught me how to speak in dogri.Wow!what I cudnt learn in 17 years ,Gcet taught me that in just 4 years.

9)My prestigious college also made me independent...now I can even walk up to divisional commisioners office and can even arrange a bus.....Please contact if service is required.

10)Last but not the least it taught me ..Zindagi mein padai hi sab kuch hai....Freshers,Farewells...Fests...dance parties ...ye sab moh maya hain.

Hey Guys!!

With this post, I am rediscovering my philosophical side…I used to write poems when I was in class 9^th but with time this passion of mine died.

I always loved playing with the beauty of words...and loved expressing them with panache….so here I am expressing my philosophical side…hope I have not offended thy veterans.

So guys be serious and enjoy the unsaid...

There was no light around, so I took out a candle…it was a jumbo sized candle, a gargantuan…I lit it and it started glowing….Within seconds ,a lifeless candle looked beautiful,enigmatic……It was as elegant as the prima donna at an opera….glowing with pride….and why not, when it has the power to vanquish the mighty darkness.

But the clock ticked and time passed. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes to hours. The skeletal wax of the candle kept melting. It was still glowing with aristocracy but its flame seemed terrified, shivering with fear. As the wax touched the floor, the candle seemedcrying for its loss, its loss of sheen, loss of torso and above all else, loss of life. It fought and it fought hard. It said it is powerful, how can it die….but it couldn’t overpower its fate…the wick faded away and then expired. And the flame kept crying…..

What come in this world, eventually goes back; tempus fugit. Everyone meet its end and so did the candle. Its flame submerged in the sea of wax and all that was left was caput mortuum – a worthless residue.. That’s life.

Only if someone told the candle that the end was inevitable and that was the very reason why it didnot matter. All that mattered was what it made out of its life. As long as it lived, it played its part and played it rather well. Enlightened the world and spread the divinity it had brought along. It could have met a happier ending though. A final harbor for a satiated life. Only if someoneenlightened the enlightener..

We often hear learned people saying that God is there with us, in good times and bad times…but I never saw God???

I only saw people around me..when the times were good ,they were many and when the times were bad they were only a few….and the people who were there with me in both good times as well as the bad times were those four….so these lines are dedicated to them and specially to you,my dear.

I was happy when you held my hand,

I had everyone whom I would ever want..

but the day and the way you touched ma life ,I felt as

if I was dousing in penury…

you gave me love and love and drenched me in love....

Times came and went but you stood there….cuddling me in your arms…when the times were good ,u made them better…naa…best Jand when the times were tough…and I lost faith in my own self …I was dejected and rejected but u stood there saying “I know you can do it ,it was just a bad day”…I then ,wiped those tears from my eyes and told myself..I dont know if I am capable or not but I ll do it …for u and for the faith u have in me….eventually that time passed and v came out victorious….but that was not all….the shower of your love never stopped drenching me….and suddenly you were my whole world…you became my friend,my mentor,my critique…..and my soul felt solace near you and your thoughts...…Now u may be a few kilometers away but you are there with me…in ma heart….You are ma God ..You are ma world…. Pre Marriage blues!!!

When I descended on earth,I was like just another child ,special for my parents.They didn’t bother if I was a girl or a boy.For them ,I was their first child-a token of their love.But people around them had their eyebrows raised-“Oh!my God-a girl child”.They gave fake smiles and internally wished if I was a baby boy…..A few years passed and I got a doll to play…a naughty doll…my sweet sis.But this time it was intolerable for many.Two girls,how will you manage…ohho,but no problems you can try one more time for a boy” (as if it was so damn easy to bear a child).My parents didn’t care about the world..For them we were their two little angel-Precious!! …Years started passing,we grew up into girls but those people didn’t stop asking for a boy….This pressure is not easy to handle ,most of the families succumb to this pressure.But my parents didn’t care.We were given all kinds of freedom except for a few things like we couldn’t go out without asking our parents and we couldn’t stay out for nights…but these things were acceptable.We crafted our world in such a manner that we felt happy staying inside.Now 22 years hav passed,both of us have grown up.I am an engineer and she is becoming a doctor…everything looked good,we choose our own careers and planned accordingly for our futures…….But as they say a girl’s life isn’t a hunky dori….Those people again knocked our door and this time to suggest pa ma that girls should get married as early as possible else they don’t get a good groom.It seemed like that chak de taunt…"ladkiyan hain kya karengi zaiyda padd ke,afterall they have to get married….”I gave them a befitting reply and told them that I wished to study further and I will” and why shoulnt I when guys of my age are planning their future without any tension… .But they were not going to stop,they came again and again with good and then better RISHTES.But couldn’t change my No….my parents stood firm with me but I can see that fear in their eyes….WILL SHE GET A GOOD GROOM….I dnt know when will they succumb to this pressure…and I will be caged in a place away from my parents,my loved ones…..Even writing this gives me a sinking feeling…But hey I am just 21!!!!....whats wrong with the world…I still feel like a child,won’t it be called a child marriage…huh!I do have one BRAHMASTRA-Its my constitutional right to get married whenever I wish…Noone can force me...:).HOPE IT WILL HELP ME IN THIS WAR AGAINST MARRIAGE.

Hey guys ! today I am posting something different.Recently I watched Harry Potter and the half blood prince...and after watching the movie, felt dire need of reading the last culminating novel of the series....harry potter and the deathly hallows.Though I am a "NOVEL WORM"(mind it i am not a book worm..;)),I hadnt read the novel because of lack of money..its sale price was Rs 1225.25 then.So I searched all night for a free E-book and surpisingly I found it..For me it was no less than a pandora's box...Don't worry I am a doctor's daughter,I do care for your eyes...So here I am posting the summarized novel to help u get the gist of the book, before you go out to watch the movie that is slated for a 2010 release..Have Fun ,its the best one out of the full series.

"Reservation in StatuS Quo"

Recently I was going through The Times of India and on page 3,there was a report that 6000 seats reserved for the OBC's,SC's and ST's are left vacant at delhi university and another news of a poor girl committing suicide because of not making it to the DU's cut-off list...I was not holding a magnifying lense but I could see the magnified picture very clearly.So I surveyed various internet websites for a startling revelation...In india 49% of the seats in almost every college are reserved for the backward classes.Now who are these backward classes and what percentage of these people are there in our country ..ARE THEY POOR?DO THEY ACTUALLY CONSTITUTE 49% OF THE INDIAN POPULATION?..These are a few questions that came to our mind,so let me first tell u about these BACKWARD CLASSES FIRST.

The backward classes in India constitute schedule castes ,scheduled tribes and other backward classes.
Scheduled Castes ("SC"s) and Scheduled Tribes ("ST"s) are Indian population groupings that are explicitly recognized by the Constitution of India, previously called the "depressed classes" by the British. SCs/STs together comprise over 24% of India's population, with SC at over 16% and ST over 8%.

Distribution

Sachar Committee report of 2006 revealed that scheduled castes and tribes of India are not limited to the religion of Hinduism. The 61st Round Survey of the NSSO(National Sample Survey Organisation) found that almost nine-tenths of the Buddhists and one-third of the Sikhs in India belonged to the notified scheduled castes of the Constitution while one-third of the Christians belonged to the notified scheduled tribes of the Constitution.

The Central Government of India classifies some of its citizens based on their social and economic condition as Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class (OBC). The OBCs are entitled to 27% reservations in public sector employment and higher education. In the constitution, OBCs are described as "socially and educationally backward classes", and government is enjoined to ensure their social and educational development.

Indeed these classes are underpriveledged,they have also faced a lot of atrocities in life.They were treated as untouchables but there is one more group that has always been underpriveledged-a group whom u find begging at the roadside,working at your homes and doing all kinds of menil jobs.IT IS NO CASTE,THIS COMMUNITY HAS NO RESERVATION.Yes you guessed it right ,its a POOR.

The World Bank estimates that 456 million Indians (42% of the total Indian population) now live under the global poverty line of $1.25 per day (PPP). This means that a third of the global poor now reside in India.A 2007 report by the state-run National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector (NCEUS) found that 77% of Indians, or 836 million people, lived on less than 20 rupees (approximately USD $0.41) per day with most working in "informal labour sector with no job or social security, living in abject poverty."

The point I want to make is that there is reservation for the backward classes ...and out of these backward classes 40% live in urban areas and are financially sound..Now if we have to reserve seats for the unpriveledged then The government should also include POOR of upper castes in the reserved category.I often see people around me who are rich and come under backward classes and poor of upper castes...the former makes way to one of the best colleges in India and the latter are left jobless.

The government however feels that the Economic criterion cannot be the sole basis for determining the backward class of citizens contemplated by Article 16(4).

Here I have done a survey -the green rows show reserved seats and the red shows open...There were total 14 seats in UT CATEGORY-7 reserved and 7 open ....out of 7 reserved only 2 were occupied and out of 7 open all were occupied and stil many were left without any seat..This is RESERVATION and OUR DESTINY....My mind often asks me those 5 vacant seats could have gone to some POOR in the open category but my heart consoles and says keep working at it ,may be someone will listen to it someday.

hmmm ....its been quite a few weeks since I wrote my last blog.Well..I wont blame time,I ll blame myself...Nodoubt there was a lot of work load but still there are 24 hours in a day that amounts to 24*3600=86400 seconds..huh! I accept the fact that I am one of those mismanaged people in this world ,who always have this excuse that there was a lot of work and there are only 24 hours in a day.So(shrugging shoulders and bearing a fake smile) "I had no time".Yes tempus fugit(time flies) but now I have taken an oath that whatever happens I ll plan my days and nights and I ll make sure that I have time for everything.

Now that you know that I was busy,let me tell you WHY.hmmm...it was because these are the last few days of my college and I was having my internals...Its sad to say that these are my last internals in college [:(].I am trying to make the most out of these final few days in college...because who knows what has life stored for me in future.Right now I am like the hrithik roshan in lakshya who didnt know which direction in life would lead him to that path of a hotshot career.My mind is like a wandering bird who doesnt know which destination is the best for it to dwell happily in life....Well the coming times may be tough,challenging or demanding but I have decided Ill give my 100 % and will leave the rest to God....Right now I am biding a fleeting goodbye to my blog but only to come back again with loads of unforgettable memories of life that seemed momentary but was momentous .

Gosh..now u might be thinking that its a cliche,its very banal ,very trivial,an age old saying..whats new about it???To be very frank, yesterday when i read it..i felt the same ....nothing struk me hard...As it is rightly said.."We learn with our own experiences"..and today I can say,I realized the worth of these simple words when I survived an accident...Papa,my lil sis and me were driving back to home, when a maruti collided with our zen...we were shockstruck,horrified and parralized.....seriously you dont even get time to scream..its like one blow and .......gone?????With God's grace all of us were safe but its only moments later ,we understood the worth our lives....Its HIS world and HE has given us days to live on this earth..how so ever powerful,affluent,influential we may be ..when our days end ,we have to leave everything behind ...our family,friends,career,future,all our belongings and GO...so friends,chill out ,have fun,relish each moment because its never gonna come back to you...and always remember learn as if to live forever ,live as if to die tomorrow and And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

I was surfing internet like any other day when I came across this link and a shiver went down through my spine.For a few moments ,I was left dumbstruck.I didnt know what to do..with sweat rolling down my forehead...heart aching and eyes overwhelmed with tears...I felt helpless,crippled,vulnerable..I wanted to do something about this DRINKING AND DRIVING(after all this could happen to anyone-even to my loved ones) but the question was "WHAT".A few days later, when we were discussing our major project topics, my cousin mentioned about a project on alcoholdetection.I was thrilled,I knew God has given me a chance to do something about this drinking and driving.

We started working on our project..now our idea was to make this alcohol detector such that it not only detects alcohol vapours but at the same time if installed in commercial vehicles,it will detect driver's breath ,stop the car's engine and will send an sms to the car's owner that his driver is drunk so that he can seize the car.

I donot know how long will it take me to commercialize this project .The feeling of completion would be measureless but till that time I would like to send this messege to all those who are reading my blog...................................PLZZZZZZZZZ DONOT DRIVE AND DRINK.

There comes a time when you must stand alone.
